LAHORE, February 25: The AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has stressed national media and the journalists to effectively use their pens to make the world know of the repression and the inhuman crimes being committed by India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to media representatives during his visit to Lahore Press Club, he said that the situation of the occupied territory remained horrible, and the people there are being deprived of their cultural identity.
He asserted that separate settlements for the Hindu citizen important from India are being established, Kashmiri youth are being massacred and arrested besides molestation of women and girls to punish the entire Kashmiris nation for demanding freedom and liberty.
He regretted that the agricultural and non-agricultural lands of the Kashmiri people were being grabbed, and a ban has been imposed even on wearing their traditional dress. The State President maintained that the young generation of Pakistan wants to see Kashmir liberated and looking towards the people of Pakistan.
Sardar Masood Khan asserted that Pakistan's narrative on Kashmir is being realized across the globe, and the UK parliament and the US Congress have also raised their voice about Kashmir. However, some people are causing frustration, he said adding that instead of getting frustrated, we needed to firmly highlight our narrative because not only Kashmir but the Muslims of India are also not safe from the mischief of the Hindu fanatics.
The AJK president expressed confidence that the sacrifices offered by the Kashmiri people would soon materialize, and they would be able to breathe in the environment of freedom shortly.
Earlier on arrival at LPC, the state president was received by the Press Club President Arshad Ansari and Secretary Zahid Chaudhry. While describing Sardar Masood Khan as the best ambassador of Kashmir, they said that he was an authority on global policy and matters, and he is rendering the best services for the Kashmir causes throughout the world.
The AJK president while greeting newly elected President of Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari and other office-bearers and said that Lahore based journalists were best serving country and the nation under the leadership of Arshad Ansari and others.
